SKILLLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • K-5 Certified and K-12 Certified (Sped)

I am a certified educator in the state of Georgia with a broad range of teaching experience. I have taught students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, primarily focusing on 4th grade. However, more recently, I have transitioned to teaching 10th Grade World History Inclusion classes.During my years teaching 4th grade, I was always the teacher of record in an inclusion class with a fantastic co-teacher. Currently, I am using my special education certificate to teach World History as the special education teacher in inclusion classes. However, I also teach mythology to 9-12 students and I am interested in becoming certified in teaching high school English.

  • Soft Skills

I have a strong background in theater, choreography, and event creation and management. Over the years, I have directed and choreographed musicals professionally and in school settings. I have also organized major events professionally and in a school setting. Some examples of my work include "The Lion King," "Aladdin," and "Working" (winning a one-act competition at the state level). Additionally, I organized an educator's appreciation event at the renowned Georgia Aquarium, where we gave away Apple products, laptops, and other essential teacher supplies. Recently, I discovered that I am an artist selling my work and honing my skills as a graphic designer. These skills have become very handy with the yearbook team, of which I have been a silent partner. I also curated an created a literary magazine with my mythology class, looking to make this a yearly experience, collaborating with the Creative Writing Club for which I was the sponsor. Lastly, I am developing a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Museum to help students and faculty cope with the post-pandemic challenges. I am prepared to bring this project to fruition in collaboration with any school where I am a faculty member.

Furthermore, you have to showBrush Your Teeth, or “CAll Your Mother”. I meanShow them that they can be whatever they want to be as long as they stay true to their authentic self.”
